Deane Hastings (Deano)

Deane has been in the building trade since 1994 where he was the area manager for a division of James Hardie Building Products.

After 5 years an opportunity sprung up to set up a new dynamic building company based in Tauranga called Modcom Portable Buildings with another partner. They grew the business from scratch and within 2 years the company was turning over more than 2 million a year.

Deane found his mind wandering to house design and found he had a natural ability to design houses with passion and flair. Deane decided he needed to pursue that dream and sold out of Modcom and set up his housing company. Deane found the industry a challenge and full of suprises - some good, some not so good.  The main thing for Deane is seeing his design come to life and having happy, house proud clients. “Its one thing doing business but it brings me great satisfaction seeing one of my designs come to life and very happy clients. Its very rewarding”.

Deane is married to Nadene and they have three children, Jacob, Corban and Shelby. Another big challenge in Deane’s life but extremely rewarding. Deane coaches and plays soccer and enjoys food, wine and water Sports.

I motivate my team by respect. It’s a two way street and happy campers make productive campers, that's my motto. My staff stay with me long term for a reason, Respect both ways, they are all great builders and great people!
 

Ross McHardy

Ross has been building since Noah crashed the Ark! Ross has every building skill imaginable and is excellent at training our young apprentices the right way. Ross is a true gentleman, (not many of them left!) and all our clients enjoy Ross’s warm and friendly personality.

Ross is our go to guy for all the staff as his experience is second to none. Its what gives us the edge in building as not many people are doing things the right way anymore. Do it Once, Do it Right says Ross…If its not perfect do it again! Ross has taught the team not to cut any corners in building and have pride in your work. Its our mission to deliver a BMW not a Lada say’s Ross.

Ross is Married to Jenny and has a few kids, one also being Ross (Junior) who also is employed by Vision Homes and is an excellent builder (..I wonder why!).

The McHardy boys are a true asset to our Team!

Quentin Beer

Our South African man with an excellent personality and we love giving him the grief when they loose the Rugby…GO THE AB’s!
  Quentin is now a New Zealand citizen but has come over from South Africa a few years ago.

Quentin has completed his apprenticeship and has become a very good hard working builder with very good skills.  He is an excellent Team Leader and is starting to do a few more activities in the sales and pricing department.

Quentin is married to Rachael and is expecting his first child any day now…Good Luck!

Quentin was also a very good rugby player in South Africa and almost made the national team. He loves rugby, horses, beer and beer. Looks like we might have a few more beers soon. (excuse the Pun).
 
 

Brent Gillespie

Brent brings a lot of experience to our team from large commercial projects to residential building. Brent was a foreman at Fosters and has worked on many town houses and homes. Brent is highly motivated and is just an all round good guy.

He to is married with a couple of young kids and enjoys his music. Brent has his own band and can often been seen around town and at parties/weddings singing his heart out. At least someone in our team can sing in tune!
